Posted on October 17th, 2009 No commentsWisconsin bankruptcy filings are up 31 percent through three quarters of 2009 compared with the year-earlier period, court records show. “Among those declaring themselves insolvent are small-business operators and real estate owners who have burned through retirement savings and home equity in the hope that the economy would turn around in time to save them,” the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
