Bill Changes Student Loans for Private Lenders
Posted on March 26th, 2010 No commentsA revamping of student loan programs that was included in the final health care package passed by Congress could force private commercial banks out of the federal student loan market. Private lenders still will make student loans that are not backed by the government, and they still will have contracts to service some federal loans. Read the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel article.

Student Loan Changes Proposed

Obama’s plan, included in his budget proposal, would end the Federal Family Education Loan Program in exchange for more direct lending to students by the federal government, the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Badger Herald reported.
