Steven Bell to Serve as CBW Chair

Other officers include: chairman-elect James Tubbs, State Bank of Cross Plains; vice chairman Paul Hoffmann, Monona State Bank; and secretary-treasurer Mary Jo Centi, Farmers Savings Bank in Mineral Point. CBW also named Toby Steivang, chairman of Walworth State Bank, as Community Banker of the Year, as reported in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

Bill Would Expand Access to Capital

The bill aims to expand access to credit for businesses in Wisconsin, reported the Manitwoc Herald Times Reporter. The Community Bankers of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Bankers Association support the bill.

Phishing E-mails Appear to Be from FDIC

WBA, CBW Issue Release on Bank Closing

Carl Axness Named Banker of the Year

The group also gave Lifetime Service Awards to Gary De Master, president and chairman at Oostburg State Bank; Arlene White, assistant cashier at Walworth State Bank; and Charlene DeHaan, personal banker at Walworth State Bank, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Kuehn Elected CBW Chairman

CBW represents 210 community banks with about 900 branches in the state’s small towns, rural areas, suburbs and cities, as reported in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
