Associated Names New CEO

Philip B. Flynn has been named the new president and chief executive of Green Bay, Wis.-based Associated Bank. Effective Dec. 1, he succeeds Paul Beideman, who has doubled the size of Associated since 2003. Flynn was most recently vice chairman and chief operating officer of San Francisco-based Union Bank. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported about the new hire and why his experience matters more than a Midwestern connection.

Milwaukee-based Robert W. Baird & Co. named Denise Wypiszenski as managing director and chief operating officer of Baird’s private wealth management group. She works out of offices in Milwaukee and Chicago, supporting financial advisers and branch offices nationwide, the Business Journal of Milwaukee reported.
