Schools Seek TARP Funds
Posted on February 8th, 2009 No commentsAt the urging of the Kenosha Education Association, U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan and Sen. Russ Feingold have forwarded to the Treasury Department and Federal Reserve Bank a request that the government’s Troubled Asset Relief Program buy $200 million worth of “troubled assets” purchased by five Wisconsin school districts in 2006, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
