Identity Thief Targets John Menard
Posted on June 18th, 2010 No commentsJohn Menard, owner of the Menard’s store chain and the richest man in Wisconsin, was the target of an identity thief in April. That’s when someone called an Eau Claire bank and asked them to wire $475,000 of Menard’s money to a bank account outside the country. The person had account numbers, passwords and his Social Security number. They also had Menard’s home phone number and told the bank to call to verify, according to WQOW Channel 18 in Eau Claire.
