Bank Stocks Face Hurdles to Recovery

The national KBW Bank Index of big banks is down about 20 percent so far this year, while the KBW Regional Bank Index is off about 39 percent. That compares with a loss of about 1 percent for the S&P 500 index, the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.
