Professional Experience
For more than 30 years, I have dedicated myself to helping people my age protect and provide for themselves and their estates by sharing educational and informational materials and seminars.
It’s no secret that baby boomers have unique financial goals and objectives, which is why I created a special website just for Wisconsin’s baby boomers called www.badgerboomers.com. The site features news and information to help make the best years of your life even better.
The educational and promotional materials and activities I developed have been used by financial institutions, health care facilities, assisted living facilities, investment centers and insurance agencies. We have shared our message at staff meetings, strategic planning sessions, shareholder meetings and community events.
Because of my expertise and experience, I have been invited to serve on the Wisconsin Department of Financial Institutions’ Advisory Council on Financial Education, the Governor’s Task Force on Financial Competitiveness and the Wisconsin Bankers Association’s Marketing Advisory Board.
Military Background
United States Coast Guard
October 3, 1961 – January 3, 1966
I served aboard the Coast Guard Cutters Sundew and Mackinaw on the Great Lakes for most of my tour of duty. When not performing search and rescue missions and serving aids to navigation, both cutters made public relations appearances throughout the summer months to ports from Chicago, Illinois to Buffalo, New York. I was responsible for arranging open house events for these promotional visits and served as the media contact in each city we visited.
From March through November 1965, I was assigned duty at the United States Coast Guard Exhibit at the New York World’s Fair. Our sixteen member team developed and staffed the exhibit seven days a week during the run of the World’s Fair. We also were responsible for military escort duty for United States government officials and heads of state and other foreign dignitaries. While in New York City, I also attended and graduated from United States Navy journalism school.
